No,
it does  not....only Jesus Christ can provide salvation. Sabbath keeping is only a sign of obedience, which we are all expected to follow the commandments and judgments of our Lord God...it may provide rewards at the judgment seat of Christ and can be looked at as a sign of being faithful to what you have been given. Not everyone understands the difference between Sabbath and Sunday, but to those who it has been revealed,  to them it is sin if they ignore it. It's a matter of conviction and obedience. Nothing more.

Pastor Mike, one last question, if Sabath keepers worship on Saturday in accordance with the 10 commandments, does this mean that only Sabath keepers will get to heaven?

Thank you Pastor Mike.

I also have hazzy thoughts on the Seventh Day Advertists who profess that we should only serve God on Saturday. I am not a Seventh Day but their argument seems convincing but the next question I have is, does that mean serving God on Sunday is a sin? Should we only serve God on Saturday as I believe that the curtain was torn in two to allow people to talk directly to God and also allow us to worship God freely on every other day irrespective of which religious group we belong to.This is a matter of conscience, obedience and the leading of the Holy Spirit. The only reason that the Sabbath was changed to Sunday, is the political power of the Catholic church and the Roman Empire in the 3 rd century AD. The day is associated with pagan observances to the sun god and in all good conscience, it's not something I wish to keep. I try my best to do what the Apostles did, what Jesus did, when He was here on earth. There is no where in the bible that Sunday is commanded to be kept as the day of worship. WE can approach God in prayer any day, but to worship HIm per His 4th commandment,  I believe you have to submit to the commandments of God, not the traditions of men...men pervert...God is always right. Pray about it...study it, and read the article on my website that explores why Christians should or should not keep a certain day as Holy unto God..I keep the 7th day Sabbath out of obedience to God's Word.....thanks
Pastor Mike

I would be  grateful for your clarification.

Thanks.

Thanks for the explanation which is now clear.

So that means the 144,000 will be part of Elijah and the other prophet's team to preach the good news. Is this correct? I don't know if the two witnesses will team up with the 144,000, as the Bible makes no reference to that. It just says that they will prophecy for 1260 days in sack cloth at the temple mount...but each will preach coming judgment and salvation through Jesus Christ.

For the modern day christians, like us, who have accepted Jesus we will be taken to heaven. If you be found in Jesus, accepted His salvation, then yes, you will be caught up in the air with all the others who have done likewise. The next question I have is: if a Christian who has accepted Jesus but practices evil attitudes (eg. has a mortgage with the bank, tells little lies), will they be raptured too? I don't believe having a mortgage is evil, but telling lies is a sin, and we sin all the time, as it's our mortal human nature...we are trying now to overcome our sinful nature, but it will not be fully realized until Jesus returns and gives us immortal spirit bodies and become like Him....our human nature will be swallowed up and we will sin no more...when we sin, we immediately ask forgiveness, or should...King David asked God to forgive the sins David was unaware of. We live in a body of death...Paul lamented that the things he wanted to do, he didn't do...and the things he didn't want to do, that is what he did...because we are carnal, condemned to death, except for the cleansing blood sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. Without Him, there is no hope.

Hi,
In answer to the best of my belief, the 144,000 are from the modern 12 tribes of Israel...they will be sealed by God and be the evangelist that will go out into the world and preach the gospel, after the church of the age of grace is gone to heaven in the rapture. They are the only ones that will be able to preach the good news in the last week of Daniel's 70 week prophecy, known as the tribulation. Many who believe their testimony will be killed because of their belief and not bowing down to the antichrist when he appears on the scene..

Greetings from a sunny Fiji!

I take much interest the materials posted on your website. One of the issues which I do not understand yet is the 144,000 people referred to in Revelations 7. Who are these people referred to: are they the people of Israel who have accepted Jesus Christ from the beginning of time until today and will take up a special place in Heaven? Am I counted in the 144,000?

I would be grateful if you could clarify this particular issue.

Kind regards.
