Patrick,
if you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, as personal Savior, confessed with your mouth your need for a Savior, repented of your sins and are trying to live the life that Jesus lived, and were obedient by following Him in a water baptism by immersion, then you are saved.

Doing what I write is the sanctification process. Jesus provided the justification by His blood and sacrifice. Following how He led His life. The way that we can do that is keeping  His Sabbath, (the 4th Commandment) following  the spiritual intent of the Ten Commandments as fleshed out in His Sermon on the Mount...and for me, keeping His Holy Days, which are a sign of what He will do to fulfill His plan for man, all the way to His 1000 year reign and beyond....a type of old time camp meetings when I observe them. From Passover to Tabernacles, it refreshes my mind to firmly convict myself to continue to follow my Lord.

.understand, only the blood of Jesus WILL SAVE  you...no matter what else you do, it will not....He knows we will fail, as we are still human, but my point is, it requires a repentant heart that wants to be a new creature. You CAN"T willfully sin against God and dishonor your body, other people, and blaspheme God and say you are walking as Jesus walked. When we fail, we confess our sins to Him in prayer and He forgives them, as until we are made spirit beings, we will still be mortal and prone to sin, even the minor ones and all are sin and defects of our flesh.

Read Paul's letter when he complained of what he wanted to do, he didn't...what he didn't want to do, he did....He moaned, "who can rescue me from this body of death?"...Only the Lord Jesus can....stay faithful, do as Jesus did and provide fruit worthy of repentance, meaning, following the Ten commandments, which the first four deal with our relationship with God, and the last  6, our relationship with men.....Remember, Jesus said that that greatest commandment is "Love the Lord with all your heart and all your soul, and love your neighbor as thyself. Upon these rest the law and the prophets...".....meaning, what was written in the OT and fleshed out by Jesus in NT.....

It's a lifelong process, beginning with forgiveness and Jesus blood, and then being transformed into the image of God's Son by renewing our minds and doing and emulating what Jesus did...."We will be saved by His Life"....look it up, and know that just because a person expresses belief in Jesus as the Son of God, begins the process....even the demons believe in Him, but they are not saints...No, it requires that we walk the walk and act like it...not just talk the talk....as you can't live like the devil on M-F, then ask forgiveness on the weekend, week after week.....A person who does, I question his experience with the Lord...did He do it for social reason, his family, or just the emotion of the moment? It has to be deeper...more profound, more cleansing, more spiritual, then just a feel good moment.....Read the Gospels and see how Jesus led His life, then read all of the Pauline Epistles....in-graft them into your heart and follow their recipe for life..
God Bless you.
Brother Mike
